First round action took the Buffaloes to Sublette . . . The Buffaloes also faced Sublette LAST year and came out victorious in Double so we knew that Sublette was going to be seeking revenge. The wind was not our friend and we elected to defend first. Meade quickly took over possession and scored the first 7 points. After a series of downs and possession trades, Meade found themselves in the endzone again making the score 14-0. Sublette was not willing to give up and found the endzone themselves once in the half and also kicking a field goal. Meade scored a 3rd time before half making the score 22-10.
Both teams came out the second half ready to play. Alot was on the line for the final 24 minutes as the loser goes home! Meade found the endzone one more time in the second half and kept Sublette scoreless making the final score 28-10 and giving the Buffaloes the Bi-District Championship! This win brings the Buffs up against the Oakley Plainsmen! This is a little different look for the buffaloes this year as we usually end up with St. Francis coming for a visit. We are looking forward to the change and seeking to bring home a Regional Championship!
Come support the Buffaloes on Saturday, November 8th for some Fall football action. Kick off time is 4:00 p.m. Don't forget to get your Thundering Herd Posters if you haven't already . . . I'm sure there will be plenty of tailgating and fun before the game so come early and join in on the festivities!
Congratulations Buffaloes!
