Okay ... rain is kind of a doubled edged sword at some points in our life. . . on one hand we need it because the milo is freshly planted, feed is trying to grow and the real summer temperatures are approaching that will rapidly suck the moisture from our soil . . . but on the other hand . . . the wheat is in the field READY to be cut, the grass is growing out of control . . . and there are Senior Portraits to take . . . soooo what does one wish for . . .
After experiencing many years of very little moisture coming our way one would think this moisture would be welcomed event . . . but give us a small break please. . . I mean why not spread this out to maybe one a week here and there. . . instead of in July listening to us beg for just a small shower. . .
But as we all know . . . mother nature doesn't work that way . . . I mean if we could pick and choose . . . we certainly wouldn't have chosen snow/ice in April . . . and we certainly wouldn't be asking for rain right now after receiving a ground soaking last evening. . . no we would be spreading all this out to balance things a little. . .
For now though . . . I need sunshine, I need dry ground and I neeed SLEEP . .. whoever says rain lulls them to sleep obviously has a different sleep pattern than I do . .. or maybe they just don't sleep with their windows open on a summer night. . . so my thoery to all this is still going to be . . .. Rain, Rain, Go Away . ..
