Bi-District Champions!

Bi-District Playoff action took the Buffaloes to Lark territory for first round playoff action! Both teams looked to be evenly matched and traded scores back and forth and with the final seconds ticking off it appeared the Buffaloes would be the Bi-District Champions! However, the Larks weren't quite ready for the season to be over and after taking possession on a lost Buffalo 4th down, they launched a pass that would tie the score 19-19 at the end of regulation. In the first overtime neither team would score. Sublette took possession first in the double overtime and launched their own hopes of the Round One Championship with a field goal which put them up 22-19. But the Buffaloes still had 4 downs of their own and on 3rd down Taylor Headrick found the endzone to end the game with a final score of 25-22. Way to Go Buffaloes. Round Two action takes place Saturday, November 3rd against St. Francis!

Friday Night Lights--Week 9

Friday Night Lights happened on Thursday this week and was the final game of the regular season. . . The Band of Brothers went on the road to Lacrosse to take on the Leopards. This game would decide who was district champions and would get home field advantage for the first playoff game next Tuesday night! Dust filled the air like a fog as the Leopards came out strong and quickly put 8 points on the scoreboard. The Buffaloes just couldn't seem to find their game and struggled to put points of their own up. A long pass to Brian Deighton finally put 8 points on the scoreboard for the Buffaloes but it wasn't enough as the Leopard went on to defeat us 44-8. Tuesday will put us on the road again most likely going to Sublette. . . It's do or die now! A loss ends our season! Come out and support the Buffaloes!

Trent. ..

Trent came to the studio yesterday to finish up his Senior Portraits! Trent got the experience not once, not twice, but THREE times! Why three times you ask? Well . . . Trent has LOTS of interests. .. so many that it took two times to capture them all . . . and after that was all said and done . .. well . . . we just didnt' feel like we got enough of just Trent . .. so yesterday the family came for portraits and so we snuck a few more in of "just Trent" afterwards. . . He was a trooper through it all though and now has a great selection to choose from! And Trent . .. dont' worry . . . you're still 5'11" :-) Thanks for coming Wiens Family . . . and Good Luck choosing!

Friday Night Lights--Week 7

Week 7 of Friday Night Lights took the Buffaloes to Kinsley to open District Play. The wind whipped the flag as it was raised by the cheerleaders while the band played the National Anthem. The captains met at midfield to determine that the Buffaloes would be kicking off. Kinsley came out ready to play and put the first points on the board. The Buffaloes were kind of flat on their feet but finally managed to put 7 points of their own on the board. Meade didn't look back as they rallied to a 42-7 finish to put us 6-1 on the season and 1-0 in district play. Ness-Dighton comes to town next week for Week 8 and District Game 2 of the season! See you there!

Hope the rest of your Senior year is great!

Friday Night Lights--Week 5

Well . .. the Buffaloes headed to Lakin last night for the battle of the unbeatens in Game 5. Lakin came out strong and put points on the board first but the Buffaloes weren't ready to take defeat. They answered 7 points of their own and at halftime took a 21-19 lead to the lockerroom. Lakin came out strong in the 2nd half and once again put points on the board. . . and no our ears were NOT playing tricks on us... . there was a whistle heard on that play . .. but life goes on . .. unfortunately it wasn't in the cards for us and when the final seconds ticked off the clock, the Broncs remained unbeaten. Next week starts district play at Kinsley! See you there!
