Limited Editions vs. Full Studio Sessions . . .

I have had some inquiries lately asking about the different things I offer at Prairie Images Photography and one question that is common is the difference in my Limited Editions sessions compared to just a Regular Studio Session.

First . . . Limited Editions sessions are for children only! These sessions are also of a themed nature and they are offered on a "limited" basis periodically throughout the year. Once a theme has been used it may be awhile before it is used again. Occasionally a theme might be one that has the option of props or no props. Be sure to take advantage when that session is offered.

Second. . . Limited Editions sessions are shorter sessions. They are designed to do multiple sessions in a day. These sessions are great for the movers and shakers because they don't like to sit still. Since these sessions are approximately 20-30 minutes and only one image is typically chosen, it keeps the time to a minimum and we can successfully get at least one smile and hopefully keep the experience a positive one. These sessions also make it easier for working parents to hopefully be able to schedule since they are brief.

Third. . . Limited Editions session have no session fees. They also have specially priced packages that are only available with these specials.

Now . . . with the pros of everything . . .there are also a few cons which is when Full Studio session might be a better option.

First . . . Not everyone like "themed" portraits or the theme might not fit their child's personality . . . all the more reason Regular sessions are the better choice. Regular sessions are available at any time so you aren't restricted to certain dates.

Second . . . Full studio sessions allow for an outfit change and sometimes even a different backdrop. Sometimes children are shy and take some time to warm up to the studio setting. Full Studio sessions schedule plenty of time to allow for this. These sessions tend to last an hour or more.

Third . . . Full Studio sessions do have a session fee, however, you also receive more choices in your poses. More time is spent in the editing process and specialty items are only available with these sessions. ex. collages

Regardless of the session that is chosen, you will receive the same high quality photographs. Every session is important to me and I want your experience to be a positive one. I recognize that all children are not comfortable with the camera which is why I offer the options that I do, in hopes that everyone can find a way to have their child photographed in a professional setting!

I hope that answers any questions that might have been lingering. . . if not feel free to drop me an email with any others you might have! The remainder of the 2008 Limited Editions schedule is now in place, but I am always looking for ideas for new themes.

I have also introduced "The Birthday Club" that is a great opportunity for everyone and has more flexibility in the scheduling of the session. It is also not theme based which will allow a much simpler portrait with the option of variety in posing also. If you haven't enrolled, be sure to do so in plenty of time that I can get you the Birthday Coupon in the mail. You will need it to book your session.
